Well, at the wonderful Knit-In yesterday, I finished one of Miss Charlie's leg warmers. So very glittery. The next one is in the works; I hope to have it done soon so she can wear them ASAP. Many more sets will need to be produced no doubt. The Knit-In was great. Congratulations to all who planned it and all who attended. Barnes and Noble expected 20-30 people, we had almost 350. I am sure that so many people with needles and spinning wheels was a bit intimidating to other patrons, but it was a blast. I met many wonderful local knitters and got the scoop on all the great shops and events. Mummy even won a door prize of a nice grab-bag of yarn, one can never have too much stash after all. Hilary might be taking over some of said yarn since her success with her knitted bag for felting (pics to follow) may have converted her to a new status as Fiber Artist in addition in Metal-Worker/Welder Extraordinaire. Forgot my camera for this even, of course, but pictures will be posted by other, so links will be arriving soon. Happy knitting.
PS Also forgot to bring my size 8 DPNs (oh the Mommy brain, if its not diapers and sippy cups it doesn't count as important), so just FYI, the change in size needed for the leg-warmers can also be accomplished by increasing 6 stitches evenly around the project then continuing.
